trinomDesigner

The trinomDesigner is a graphical tool for creating print modules. A print module consists of two components. On the one hand, it is a print template with a positioned text, and on the other hand it is the Internet form used to fill in the fields by the customer.

The trinomDesigner is separate software that will be installed on the PC of the graphic designer. The technical requirements for the installation are:

• Windows XP or Windows Vista, Apple Mac OS 10.x
• Java Runtime Environment, Version 1.6.x and up

The installation is provided through the Internet via Java Web Start.
All the software updates will be received automatically.

Print Template

The structure of a print template is as follows:

• A print template has one or more pages.
• Each page has text boxes which can be positioned as needed.
• Each text box can be filled with text. The text has a font, font size and many other features for text formatting.
• Graphic boxes with the company logo or other images can be placed on each page.

Finally, each print template will be generated as a PDF that fulfills all the requirement needed for a particular print method.

Print Data Acquisition

The print template is assigned to a certain article by the administrator. If the customer selects this article as a part of its order, the print template with the defined fields will be shown. The user can personalize them.

The user receives a well-to-print preview of the print order. If he confirms this, it creates a corresponding printable PDF.

 

Database Publishing

Creating a new design for each print order is not possible. A default print template for inserting the data is stored on the server. An additional layouting of the templates by the user is not feasible.

 

Print Module

The trinomDesigner contains a print module, which does not have to be purchased separately.
